Heinz Schutz
Senior Vice President of Operations

Mr. Schutz has over 20 years experience in the hotel and resort industry having held top-level executive positions with some of the premier properties in the industry including regional director/general manager for Hyatt International Hotels, Mexico City, vice president of operations for the Omni International Hotels, Athens, GA, named as one of the “10 Best Hotels in the USA” by the Chicago Tribune, and Wyndham Hotels, Dallas, TX, where he supervised the company’s five 4-star convention hotels in Texas.  From there he moved on to manage the Fairmont Hotel, a 600 room, 5-star convention hotel with sales of over $25 million in annual sales.  He then became the regional vice president/general manager for Premier Resorts and Hotels in Miami, FL. Mr. Schutz then served as managing director of the Hotel Playa Tambor in Costa Rica, a 400 room, 6000-acre all-inclusive 4-star beach resort and then as vice president of hotel operations for the Trump Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ prior to joining Key Management Group as the Senior Vice President of Operations.

Mr. Schutz holds a MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Colorado and a BS degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University.  He also holds an Ecole Hoteliere degree from Luzanne, Switzerland and a Certified Hotel Administrator Certificate from the American Hotel Management Association.  He is a member of the La Chaine de Rotisseur, Maitre de Table and the Cornell Society of Hotelmen.  Mr. Schutz is fluent in English, Spanish, German and French.
